About

Aproeco is the relatively small cooperative, about 300 farmers and their families work together around Moyobamba. They are pioneers of organic agriculture and permaculture. Many of them live in the hills of the mountain rainforest, largely in subsistence farming. On their small coffee fincas (1-3ha) they produce only small amounts of coffee. For this reason, they blend together for our cooperative lot “Kuntu Organic”. Only the best coffees make it through quality control into this lot. The result is a particularly consistent coffee that is easily reproduced every year. The coffee is a fundamental part of our assortment and a tropical greeting from our farmer friends in the mountain rainforest. For us, the perfect coffee for every day.

Organic certification: DE-ÖKO-006n.

About Aproeco

The cooperative Aproeco is rather small and familiar with about 250 members. The name also describes the philosophy of the organization: Aproeco means Asociación de Productores Ecologicos (Association of Ecological Producers). The members of the cooperative regard their natural ecosystem as a beautiful and necessary resource for a good life. Rarely have we seen such tremendous nature as in the mountain rainforest near Moyobamba, which is also known as the city of orchids with several thousand wild orchid species.
